Aufgaben:
you will be authorised to drive diesel and electric traction units. You will also qualify as a shunting attendant (m/f/d) and as a wagon inspector (m/f/d) for freight wagons. In addition to driving trains, as an engine driver (m/f/d) you will recognise and rectify faults, for example, and thus ensure that rail transport runs smoothly. Later in your career, a large number of people will rely on you to carry out your diverse tasks carefully and make the right decisions in crucial situations. A high degree of concentration and a sense of responsibility are correspondingly important.
Tasks as a train driver You transport machines or goods safely to their destination throughout Germany. You drive locomotives/railway vehicles of various types safely through the public railway network.
The contents of your training plan are Practical construction site and transport-related training in shunting and trackside services Practical training on the traction unit, in particular on the construction of the traction unit and the necessary preparatory and final services Certified knowledge acquisition of at least one series The training is rounded off with several training runs in our in-house simulator. At the end, you will take a written and oral practical test, a simulator test drive and a practical acceptance drive on one of our traction units. Your entire training will be supervised by training locomotive drivers. Thanks to our specialised training plans, you will be able to keep track of your training progress at all times.
